Job description
In your new role, you are part of the global system application engineering team for magnetic sensing solutions, a team of multidisciplinary experts in automotive and industrial sensing systems. This team helps our customers to define the right system level solutions to integrate our sensors and enable increased performance in their applications. A successful sensor integration is always the combination of a highly performant electrical design within an efficient and robust mechanical design.
In this team, you will:
* Design innovative system level sensing solutions based on our sensors in existing and new applications driven by car electrification and industry automation, such as electric drives and converters.
* Build and verify prototypes, demo boards and reference design on application level using state-of-the-art simulation, design and verification tools.
* Focus on the integration of the sensor into the final application, thanks to your multidisciplinary approach combining electrical and mechanical competences
* Work with our internal and external partners to define and industrialize sensor modules for a wide range of applications, with focus on integration of sensors in power conversion and traction systems
* Support design-in / win at application level with direct customer interaction.

Profile
You are passionate about innovation and demonstrate strong communication skills. You know how to establish long-lasting relationships and networks and are a good team player. Technical challenges motivate you and you enjoy working within an international expert community to develop new ideas and bring them to the market.
You are best equipped for this task, if you have:
* A university degree (Master/PhD) in mechatronics and/or electrical engineering and/or mechanical engineering
* 5+ years of relevant professional experience like application/system engineering for semiconductor / sensors or design of mechatronic solutions for automotive and industrial applications
* Good knowledge of electrical engineering, sensor and power electronics are a plus
* Basic knowledge of mechanical design and related state-of-the-art tools such as Autocad
* Available for business travels (2/3 trips per month in Europe, 2/3 per year worldwide)
* Excellent English communication skills and good German skills as a plus
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2020). A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
