From Carinthia there are good flight connections to the whole of Europe and the world via Klagenfurt Airport (direct flights to Alicante, Hamburg, London, Vienna, among others) and the airports of Ljubljana/Slovenia (40 km), Salzburg (140 km), Trieste/Italy (140 km) and Venezia/Italy (210 km).
Even though Carinthia is located on the southern side of the Alps, the climate is surprisingly mild. The many lakes invite you to swim in summer, while in winter there is snow in the mountains.
