Carinthia’s multilingual educational landscape is diverse, practical and internationally networked. Four school models are examples of how language promotion can succeed – from primary school to the international matriculation examination.
From the first year onwards, children in Arnoldstein can learn not only German, but also Slovenian, Italian or English. In the Slovenian classes, all lessons are taught bilingually, while in the Italian and English classes, language exercises are integrated into the school day. As an officially designated Nature Park School, Arnoldstein primary school combines language promotion with sustainability and active environmental protection.

Four languages in the compulsory syllabus, international projects and an additional exam as part of the Austrian “Matura” matriculation examination: HAK TAK makes its pupils fit for the global economy.
