With the Carinthian Specialists Agency, the Province of Carinthia now offers a comprehensive recruitment service tailored to your company’s requirements. Our aim is to counteract the urgent shortage of skilled workers on the Carinthian labour market and to support Carinthian companies in finding the right employees by offering a comprehensive range of services. The Carinthian Agency takes over the entire recruitment process in direct coordination with Carinthian companies, creates job profiles tailored to their individual needs and undertakes the international search for suitable personnel. All steps, from the technical pre-selection to the job interview, are professionally accompanied and thus qualified employees are recruited for the Carinthian labour market on a lasting basis.

To make the search for suitable employees more efficient, the Carinthian Agency offers an industry-structured recruitment service. In the first phase, temporary calls were open for nursing and healthcare professions, metalworking and electrical engineering. Carinthian companies could register their requirements in these occupational groups until 30 August 2024. After checking the registrations and availability of resources, services were allocated. We will update you about further calls here soon.

You are a company in Carinthia that
- has its headquarters in Carinthia,
- is a member of the Carinthian Economic Chamber or a hospital based in Carinthia,
- is primarily active in the short-staffed occupations of nursing and healthcare, metalworking, and electrical engineering, or is looking for one or more skilled workers in these occupational fields (additional industries will be activated in calls for registration in the future),
- submits the application in its own name only,
- has already registered the need for the sought-after skilled personnel with the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS),
- is offering a remuneration in line with the market for the position and has provided for a field of activity in line with the market,
- will deploy the skilled personnel exclusively in Carinthia.

8 steps to successful recruiting!
1. Application
Submit your application for participation by entering your data. After registration, the Carinthian Specialists Agency will contact you to discuss the next steps.
2. Cost sharing
The recruitment package, including the entire consulting process and onboarding services, costs you as an entrepreneur EUR 3,500 plus VAT per employee sought.
3. Decision by the Expert Advisory Committee
The Expert Advisory Committee – which is made up of representatives of the Province of Carinthia, the Carinthian Economic Chamber, the Public Employment Service (AMS), the Chamber of Labour and the Austrian Trade Union Federation – will decide initially at the beginning of September 2024 and then again quarterly whether you are eligible for this service.
4. Initial meeting
After the initial meeting, a detailed analysis of your company’s needs and the conclusion of the contract, the Carinthian Skilled Personnel Agency will use all its recruiting power to find suitable employees for your company.

5. Candidate found
Have we helped you find a potentially suitable candidate? Perfect! The Carinthian Agency will organise a live video call with your potential employees.
6. Employee found
Found a new employee? Let’s go! See the following advice for successful onboarding in Carinthia and in your company. You will be contacted to arrange an appointment.
7. Onboarding
Our onboarding service partner will organise an online meeting to get to know your future specialist and a personal consultation appointment after arrival in Carinthia, where questions about living and working in Carinthia will be answered and an overview of networking opportunities will be provided. This includes topics regarding the authorities as well as setting up an account with FinanzOnline, information on social insurance, an overview of all networking and language offers, and opportunities to take part in around 100 additional events in the year of arrival.
8. Optional additional packages
Further support in applying for the necessary documents, finding suitable accommodation for your new employees, finding suitable childcare and school places, etc. is not automatically included in the one-off cost sharing and may lead to additional costs. A detailed list of additional consulting services can be sent to you as part of the initial consultation.

The Carinthian Agency helps you to provide a targeted personnel service and to find qualified nursing staff who understand the needs of your facility and can guarantee high-quality care.
From registered nurses to nursing assistants – the Province of Carinthia will support you in your search for the right skilled personnel to ensure the best possible care for your patients and clients. This also includes ensuring that you have all the information you need to apply for Austria’s Red-White-Red Card for skilled personnel in short-staffed occupations and that you are aware of any content relating to the validation or nostrification of training completed abroad.

The Carinthian Skilled Personnel Agency focuses on finding talented specialists who can work with a wide variety of metals, whether in the manufacture of machinery, in construction or in other areas.
The Province of Carinthia will support you in finding highly qualified employees who can meet your production requirements and contribute to the growth of your company.

Electrotechnical professions are indispensable in an increasingly digitalised world and cover a wide range of specialist areas, from electronics to energy supply systems. The Carinthian Agency will support you with its worldwide search if your need for experienced electrical engineers, electricians and other specialists cannot be met.

FAQ
You have to ensure that employees have the necessary work and residence permits. You should also take into consideration cultural differences and provide appropriate support services to ease the transition.
The search itself is free of charge and there are no costs if the search is unsuccessful.
Of course not (with the exception of compulsory onboarding), however, it would be beneficial and, to a certain extent, critical in ensuring the process is successful, as the quality of the call depends on it.
As an entrepreneur, you can expect a one-off flat rate of EUR 3,500 plus VAT per search request, i.e. per employee. The following terms of payment excl. VAT apply to processing:
EUR 2,400 after signing the employment contract
EUR 500 after signing the employment contract
EUR 600 three months after signing the employment contract, provided the employee is still in employment.
The first step is to check the information you provide in the online form. It should be noted here that before using the recruitment services of the Carinthian Agency, an unsuccessful search in the AMS network must have been completed. Once all the information has been checked, the Expert Advisory Committee allocates service packages according to the available resources. Once the application process has been successfully completed, an employee of the Carinthian Agency will contact you to arrange to discuss in person the details of your individual recruitment process.
The search for suitable employees knows no borders. Of course, the search will be customised according to your qualification requirements in order to find suitable candidates for your company.
The complexity of the search process depends on the specific task profile and the required qualifications of the future employee. Therefore, the expected search must be defined face-to-face. A recruitment process can take from 4 weeks to 6 months, depending on its complexity in the international competition for the best employees.
The Carinthian Agency makes a pre-selection of suitable employees based on your job profile. You decide which candidate you would like to get to know in a direct interview. You can then choose your favourites from this pre-selection.
There is no obligation for you to employ the candidates presented by the Carinthian Agency in your company. You will find out more details during the initial meeting.
The processing time may vary depending on the country of origin of the person(s) sought and the respective authority. On average, it can take several weeks to several months.

As a Carinthian company, you receive a comprehensive and professional service package for a lump sum to the amount of EUR 3,500, which is well below the usual market rate for comparable services. In addition, the entire recruitment process is tailored to your business needs and requirements.
