Job description
In your new role, you will:
* Support R&D application and concept engineers for daily issues related to mixed-signal embedded system development and related software tools and methodology (1st level support)
* Proactively consult chip design projects to ensure proper and efficient usage of working environment, software tools and related methodology
* Collect application specific requirements to the design environment and provide fast solutions (e.g. hot fixes) where needed
* Trigger and track implementation of enhancements of the design environment to ensure on-time availability for productive usage
* Work closely with internal software tool and methodology providers on improving and developing new solution
* Promote new methodology solutions and support adoption of these in design projects
* Share knowledge within (world-wide) "Design Application Engineering Community"

Profile
You are best equipped for this job if you have:
* A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
* First working experience in the semiconductor industry as a development engineer e.g. during your student time or in a first job assignment
* Basic knowledge about how the individual components of an embedded system work together (debugging, electrical measurements, microcontroller knowledge, )
* Basic knowledge in Spice based Analog Simulation
* FPGA Based Analog-Mixed-Signal Virtual and HW Prototyping
* Basic modeling experience with RTL or TLM
* Programming skills:
* Required: Object oriented programming (e.g. Python)
* Desirable: SystemC/C++, System Verilog, Spice modeling
* Tools: Visual Studio, Matlab/Simulink, Simetrix, Vivado
* Expertise in developing under Windows and Unix/Linux
* Good English skills with German skills as a strong plus
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group F (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2020).The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.
