Project Procurement Specialist (m/f/d)

Our Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the culture of our organization. Our Support Functions include HR, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement, Administration, Facilities and Security.
Our Sourcing team partner with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines, vaccines and Animal Health products. We collaborate internationally and are grouped into center-led categories and regional operating teams.
For one of our sites in Spain or Austria, we are currently looking for the position of:
Project Procurement Specialist (m/f/d)
Temporary position for 3 years
The Candidate will be part of the Global supplier management strategic sourcing team supporting the global warehouse and distribution Fortify our Future (FoF) project strategy. This position will work with the regional procurement logistics leads, different support functions and the business key stakeholders to implement the FoF global and regional strategies and, where appropriate, implement corporate enterprise-wide warehouse and distribution solutions.
Responsibilities
* Assuring the coordination for several key logistics initiatives across the 4 regions including Finished products Warehousing & Distribution / Promotional Warehousing / Transportation
* Responsibility for the implementation of all affected subcategories and suppliers
* Creating and implementing sourcing plans to manage assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, innovation, and compliance and oversee sustainable value delivery throughout
* Working with cross-functional teams to deliver strategies which both deliver quick wins and genuine innovative breakthroughs within all regions
* Managing all aspects of the strategy implementation including entry and exit of suppliers and ensuring complex change management issues are being delivered
* Building relationships and managing key supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes to drive the realization of the full value of the key relationships
* Ensuring that supplier relationships are set up for future continuous improvement and leading review processes which ensures delivery of on-going improvements
* Working in a way that positively engages the support of stakeholders
* Using market knowledge and data analysis to gain critical insights that drive the selections within the project and continuous improvement activities
* Achieving cost control, cost reduction, cost containment targets, and adding value to areas of expenditure through a strong total cost focus
* Developing a cost reduction pipeline, in strict alignment the overall global strategy
Qualifications
* Proven experience in procurement, business management or strong background & knowledge within Logistics, commercial operations, suppliers, and procurement subject matter expertise
* In-depth subject matter expertise in Logistics knowing latest industry trends and best practices
* Proven success in developing and executing global or regional sourcing strategies
* High quality project and program management skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Strong communications and influencing skills at all organizational levels
* Proven ability to collaborate with a wide variety of individuals, including senior management, stakeholders, team members, other departments and suppliers
* Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment
* Problem solving and proactive communication skills
* Proficiency in Excel - i.e. pivot tables is preffered
* English proficiency written & spoken

This person will be preferably based in Spain or Austria but other locations within Europe will be considered for the right candidates . In case you choose to be located in our Austrian site, the minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 54.100,-- and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
