Field Service Engineer
What will you be doing?
As a member of the customer support team, you will be using cutting-edge technology in close collaboration with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team to install and maintain solutions for our nextgeneration semiconductor processing equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Perform field service hardware and software activities at worldwide customer sites
* Commission, troubleshoot, modify and repair semiconductor processing equipment
* Collaborate with product development and management teams
Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years of technical software development/programming experience for high-tech/high-precision equipment. Previous experience in the semiconductor industry is an advantage. Furthermore, you need to recognize yourself in the profile described below.
Skills:
* Customer service-oriented personality
* Self-disciplined team player with strong interpersonal abilities
* Strong analytical and self-learning abilities
Requirements:
* Willingness to travel abroad up to 50% of your work time
* 3+ years of experience in industrial equipment technical customer support
* Technical education (or preferably BSc.) in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science
* Basic programming skills in a high-level language (c/c++)
* Good PLC troubleshooting skills
* Technical background and/or work experience in the areas of industrial automation, motion, robotics, and electrical engineering
* Good verbal and written communication skills in English (in German is also appreciated
